Movies I Love...

Lorem mea amicis! (That's "Hello my friends" in Latin, according to Google Translator...though sometimes google gets it wrong. One time I tried to talk about my friend's new pet rat in spanish, and it came out "How is your new pig oil doing? Does it scream into the hamster wheel now?" So if this comes out as "Hello, my pigs" don't blame me!!!)

Now, I'm going to attempt to write this blog post, but please forgive any typos - my four-year-old brother is on my lap, and wants to help me "wite" it.
I like to watch a lot of movies, like The Hunger Games, Lord of the Rings, as well as older movies, like Shirley Temple, Meet Me in St. Louis, and Cats Don't Dance.

Cats Don't Dance is a really cool, really funny, and really clean movie for the entire family! Ours watched it about three times in a row.) It's about this cat that wants to get a job in Hollywood, and all the stuff that happens to him and his friends. It's hilarious!

I've only seen the Hunger Games once (and a lot of it was through my fingers (-:) but I thought it was really good. Jennifer Lawrence made a great Katniss, and some of the movie made me cry! (Like the last scene with Rue.)

The Lord of the Rings is another really awesome movie. I've watched it about a jillion times, and I think that the director did a great job!

(I have to go now, so I'll probably make an edit on this...so check back soon!)

*Editing Time!*

So, I'm back! *drumroll and fanfare* *applause*

One reason that I love older movies is that they're so clean, compared to a lot of movies today. Shirley Temple, for instance, is in tons of movies, and I think they (and she!) are awesome!!!

The part that I usually don't like about movies based on books (like Lord of the Rings) is that they often change so much of the book! For instance, in Lord of the Rings, they added all this romance throughout the whole movie; didn't happen throughout the whole book! They also added the Elves coming to save the Rohirrim in Helm's Deep; didn't happen! But, for the most part, Peter Jackson did an awesome job!!!

So there you go - some of my absolute favorite movies!

Star Testing = Brain Frying

Hey everybody! (Like I've said before, I need a new intro...but I don't have many brain cells to think with right now!)

I just did a full day of Star Testing;

And I have no brain cells left!

(By the way, who can tell that I like making pictures on my blog? (-:)

So, tomorrow I have a day off, because I've got more star testing on thursday...yay...

But today's dance class was fun. (Did I ever tell you that I take tap, jazz, irish step, and ballet?) Today was a tap/jazz day, and it was super fun. In tap, we're nerds, and it is absolutely awesome!!!! The whole thing is hilarious!!! We're dancing to the song "Hip to be Square" and we get to dress like geeks!

Okay, this post will be too big if I put any more pics on it. *sigh* :-(

Can't wait to hear from you guys soon!

Adorable!!!

Hey everyone! (I really need to think of a different opening...lol)

I just thought I'd post up some of my absolute favorite blogs. These Christian girls are awesome, funny, and modest. You go girls!

Here are their blogs:

Speaking of nothing in particular, did you know that I'm really into photography? I really love it, especially doing pictures of my family! Here is one that I did of my little brother Joseph - he's almost five now! (Where has the time gone...)

Okay....I'm done with the picture taking. Go away!!!

P.E. Results

Hey everyone!

So I just got back from P.E...who knew a mile was so long?

So my bro beat me in the race by 1 minute; is that a bad score?

But in everything else, ballet girl karate chopped karate kid.

Karate Kid

Ballet won most everything! Whoo!!!
(except the race, which was the main part - BOO!!)

Just reminds me not to constantly brag about my swiftness! (To tell the truth, I had to walk part of the way!)

But now, I'm officially exhausted. I'm ready to take a shower, crawl into bed, and go to sleep. Have to have my brain in full operation for star testing tomorrow!

P.E. Star Test Challenge!!!

Hey everybody!

My P.E. star test is today...and my brother has challenged me to a race! He's a karate guy, and I'm a ballerina, so he wants to test my 'weak and wimpy' muscles against his 'rock-solid' ones. Why do boys always thing ballet is easy...;-) I mean to prove him wrong!

Who do you think will win? (I do have a cold, so I'm at a disadvantage; but I'm going to give it my best!)

GO BALLET! GO BALLET!

10 Fun Facts

I know, I know, you really shouldn't be posting at 9:30pm...but I spent three hours trying to disect and understand the mysteries of starting a blog, so please forgive me. :-) (By the way, who ever said that starting a blog was easy? Oh wait...probably me...before I tried.)

So, I thought, as a celebration of starting my first ever blog, I'd share 10 facts about me. Here we go!

#3: We have attempted many pets, but the best one ever is Daisy, our beautiful black lab!
#4: I'm a very out-going person - bring on the people! :-)
#5: I am a piano student, a ballet dancer, and a budding photographer!
#6: I love to read - if you let me loose, I could probably read a library in a day!
#7: I've been homeschooled from the first day of school up to now - and it's going to stay that way until college!
#8: I love to cook! (Well, not the cooking part - but if I don't make it, then I won't get to eat it!)
